The work of Concordis International is made possible by a whole range of people. The staff and volunteers look after the day-to-day activity under the overall governance of the Board of Trustees. This is all supported, not only by an Advisory Panel and range of specialist advisors, but also by our Patrons who support and endorse our work.



Richard King is Concordis’ Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive. He is an experienced mediator accredited by the UK Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. Before taking up his post with Concordis he chaired many Concordis consultations throughout our programmes in Sudan. In 2009 he completed with distinction a Masters in International Peace and Security at King’s College, London, in which he focussed on diplomacy, conflict prevention and peace building and completed a thesis related to the conflict in Darfur. Before joining Concordis Richard worked as a lawyer for over 30 years and he combines his skills as a mediator with exceptional analytical ability.
Christopher Milner has substantial experience in Sudan and on Sudanese issues. He has worked with the Sudan Ministry of Education, undertaken evualations for UNICEF and and ARC in Sudan, and subsequently took the role of Coordinator and Policy
Ann Roberts is our Church Liaison Advisor. She is part of a team that works with international women's groups and liaises between Concordis International and different churches who support us.
Following a two year period working and travelling in Latin America, Rosie returned to the UK and qualified as a social worker, working for local authorities in London and Cambridgeshire. For the past 18 years Rosie has had a career as a professional fund raiser with several different charities, including raising funds to construct the first phase of a children’s school in the remote Indian region of Ladakh and working for three years as Executive Director of Action for Brazil’s Children Trust. In addition to her independent consultancy work on behalf of Concordis, Rosie also works part time supporting professionals with learning disabilities employed by Thera Trust.
Chief Executive of Relationships Global, an organisation which seeks to have the importance of relationships recognised and acted upon in public life in various parts of the world. He was Research Director of the initiatives in South Africa (1986-91) and Rwanda (1994-99) of the predecessor organizations of Concordis International. Economist with the World Bank and research fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute, 1979-86. Holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University.

Lucian Harriman became Sudan Country Director for Concordis International in April 2009. He joined Concordis as Research Manager in 2007, having previously been involved in research, advocacy and communications for a number of UK-based NGOs working on conflict, development, and human rights. Lucian holds a first-class BA Honours degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex, for which he also studied at the Freie Universitaet, Berlin. He also holds an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution Skills from the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies at Coventry University.

Mohammed Musa Ali joined Concordis International as Programme Coordinator for North Sudan in February 2010. He holds a Masters degree in public and environmental health. Previously he has worked for different INGOs and UN agencies in Nuba Mountains and Darfur (Sudan) and acted as a consultant for the World Health Organization in Pakistan.

Gatkuoth Kai Bol joined Concordis International as South Sudan Program Coordinator in Nov 2011. Gatkuoth holds a Master of Science (MSC) in Project Management and has brought in 7 years experience working with humanitarian organizations in conflict environments, from NPA (Norwegian People's Aid) as a Project Officer to World Relief International as a Program Officer, Area Manager and Project Coordinator subsequently.
Michael Lado Allah-Jabu joined Concordis International in January 2011 as Logistics & Administration Officer in South Sudan. He holds a BSc in Sociology & Social Anthropology from the University of Juba and has previously worked with several NGOs including UNESCO, the IRC and Plan International.

Ryan’s wealth of experience in all aspects of domestic and international politics, from foreign diplomacy to parliamentary advocacy, gives him a rich understanding of the environment in which Concordis operates. He has worked with and advised international actors including the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the United Nations, the US Congress and Chatham House, where he is currently a Council member. His long-standing interest in and activity in international security and conflict issues adds to the Concordis team’s experience in that area, while being a finalist in The New Statesman’s ‘Top 50 In Public Life’ of 2008 is a clear recognition of the formidable assets he brings to Concordis as a Trustee.
Edward has great leadership experience, both in business, where he has held several directorships, and in his leisure activities. His business experience, spanning both the commercial and voluntary sectors, brings a diverse skillset and range of contacts to Concordis. His current role as Chief Executive of Resolex, a business specialising in dispute resolution and risk reduction demonstrates an affinity to Concordis’ goals which will stand Edward, his fellow Trustees, and Concordis in great stead as he joins our team.
