Peace or Justice - Which Comes First?

On Wednesday 7th December 2011 Concordis International facilitated a mini-conference entitled ‘Peace or Justice – Which Comes First?’. The conference addressed the relationship between peace and justice in working towards reconciliation in conflict situations. The evening was very informative, stimulating thought-provoking discussion, led by a panel of experts in the field of justice and reconciliation. The Trustees and Staff of Concordis are very grateful to Clifford Chance LLP for generously hosting the conference and reception. We would also like to thank our speakers, Revd Canon David Porter, Prof Chandra Sriram and Dr Phil Clark, as well as all our guests, for their participation in the event.

Thank you for your patience in bearing with the problems on the Big Give website- they have apologised wholeheartedly for the disruption caused by the problems with the external server. Border Peace Committees in Sudan and South Sudan

Concordis is facilitating the formation of border peace committees in areas adjacent to the border between Sudan and South Sudan. The committees are formed of government officials, community leaders and local police and army officers. Their purpose is to work with local people to build trust among the communities living in the region and to create and enhance freedom of movement for people, animals and goods. This work is under the Cross Border Relations Project in 2011: Post-referendum and Beyond the Interim Period. To find out more about the project click here
