The Organisation
- A British non-profit organisation that focuses on policy-level dialogue supported by in-depth research.
- A strong track record of building relationships across conflict boundaries (South Africa, Rwanda and Sudan).
- An extensive network of contacts for quality research and peace-building expertise.
Our Approach
Rather than becoming involved in official peace negotiation, we aim to build relationships that pave the way for peace or contribute to ongoing negotiations or post-conflict nation-building. Our well-researched discussions move beyond the lines of confrontation to build on shared purpose and explore new possibilities for peace.
Few share our distinctive approach based on:
- Long-term transformation of relationships across conflict boundaries.
- Influential individuals meeting out of the limelight for greater flexibility and freedom.
- Informal, inclusive, low-profile consultations.
- Conscious impartiality.
- In for the long haul - not distracted by headline-making crises.
Melanie Greenberg, American expert on conflict resolution, recently wrote:
"I would count your work in Sudan in the top one or two of the public peace processes I have encountered."
"Your level of sophistication about the process, and your ability to frame the issues in such a productive way, are truly outstanding".
