The Concordis Papers feature a bite-sized summary of the presentations, discussions, conclusions and recommendations made at a series of Concordis consultations in recent years. The papers focus on some vital conflict themes relating to Sudan's conflicts - Darfur in particular - and include presentations made by leading commentators on Sudan. Most importantly, they represent the views of key Sudanese representatives from a broad range of backgrounds, making their recommendations about building peace in Sudan insightful, relevant and vital. The Accord publication on Sudan, co-edited by Mark Simmons and Peter Dixon, was published in 2007 under the title Peace by Piece: Addressing Sudan’s Conflicts. This collection of articles examines some of the causes of the country’s conflicts and its recent peacemaking experiences, and asks what remains to be done to build a comprehensive peace. It is available from Conciliation Resources in English and Arabic with an accompanying policy briefing paper.
